Gaco offers a complete portfolio of coating solutions to meet your commercial roofing needs, whether you’re performing repairs, maintenance, or roof restoration. Our silicone, acrylic, and urethane coating products are backed by decades of industry experience, best-in-class warranties, and a network of nationwide sales and technical support teams.
Each coating can be used to maintain and extend the life of an existing roof system or be paired with spray foam to make a complete roofing system. But every roof is unique, and every situation is different. Coatings are not “one size fits all.” Some of these versatile coatings can even be used in decking and waterproofing applications, such as pedestrian and vehicular deck systems.

Silicone coatings are an exceptional weather barrier and are especially popular where moisture is a constant threat. Silicones are UV stable, waterproof, solvent-free*, highly flexible, and resistant to ponding water — great for a low slope or flat roof repair or restoration. For new or re-roof applications, trust the GacoRoofFoam and Silicone system.
Additionally, silicones offer an extended application window. They can be applied as low as 20°F (-6°C) and as high as 120°F (49°C)**. And since they can be applied to most existing roof substrates, you’ll save on labor and material costs.
*Note that GacoRoof and GacoPatch are not solvent free.

Urethane coatings excel in durability, impact, and chemical resistance. They surpass both silicone and acrylic in terms of tensile strength, and stand up well to extreme weather. Gaco urethanes are available as single and plural component systems. Single component systems are easy and fast to apply. Plural component systems offer enhancements in physical properties and adhesion. And when an aromatic base coat is combined with an aliphatic top coat, a urethane roof coating like UA60 will retain its reflectivity longer.
Acrylic coatings hold the largest segment of the commercial roof coatings market. They’re a great way to add life to a roof while also transitioning it to a reflective surface that helps you save on cooling costs. That’s because acrylic coatings are highly reflective.
Acrylics are most popular in high heat, low humidity environments where ponding water is not a concern. And since acrylic coatings are water-based, they’re easy to apply and clean up — the definition of user-friendly. There’s no component mixing and clean up can be completed with soap and water. Expect quality aesthetics through the coating’s life and a hard-to-beat price point for the performance.

Once coated with an approved acrylic, silicone, or urethane coating, GacoRoofFoam forms a complete roofing system for new construction or re-roofing projects. This sprayed-in-place Polyurethane Foam (SPF) applies as a liquid and expands into a foam to create a seamless, single layer of roof insulation.
Roof foam is excellent for all climates and can be applied to virtually any roof slope or design, as polyurethane adheres to most surfaces. Choose from GacoRoofFoam or Low GWP GacoRoofFoam. Low GWP GacoRoofFoam is an environmentally conscious choice as it’s manufactured with an HFO blowing agent that reduces the Global Warming Potential of the product by more than 99%.
