What roofing issue did Gaco help solve? 

The main roof was a 3:12 metal roof with leaks throughout the warehouse.  The main issue throughout the building, however, was over the offices. This roof was a lower slope, 1:12 trapezoidal metal panel roof. With the harsh South Florida rain, the water would back up under the metal crimp and leak into the office space.

Which Gaco roofing solution was used?

The Gaco Area Manager along with the local Gaco Licensed Applicator, Rodemeyer Roofing, worked together to develop the scope of work for the repairs. They decided GacoRoofFoam insulation and a GacoFlex silicone coating would work best. They also determined that GacoFlex S20, one of our solvent-free silicone roof coatings, would be sufficient for the main warehouse’s steep slope roof section, but would specify the foam at a 1.5” thickness in two passes prior to the coating on the office space.

South Florida sees a lot of rain. Using GacoRoofFoam and GacoFlex silicone as a waterproofing top-coat ensured that all gaps, cracks, and crevices would be supported and covered to prevent leaks.
